i have four video players and they need to be glued horizontally together so as to create one fullscreen video image. like every player is say 256 x 192, i want one output matrix of size 1024 x 192, or rather 1024 x 768 with black borders top and bottom.

hmm - in gem you need to think a bit different ... as it is a 3d only environment you would need to texture 4 rectangles with the videos and arrange them to your liking in the gemwin.
