basically you should have the same problems as with recording Gem (since both do the same: do graphics on the graphic-card (memory+GPU) and not in the CPU+mainRAM.
the simplest and fastest method will be to record the video-out of your graphics card (VCR).
(but i don't know much about 3dp)
