Since nobody has answered Maurizio's question I guess we can assume that there isn't one and that bugs should be reported to this list (and hence to Miller himself) as I have seen done here before. I guess that's the way you should go about it, Maurizio. Probably better to report to the PD-dev list though. For those who don't know, Maurizio has done some amazing work on the Csound core (and actually branched the code into his own version - iCsound).

Chris. _________________________________ chris@mccormick.cx http://www.mccormick.cx http://www.sciencegirlrecords.com

Bug reports should go to this list or pd-dev, I think.
But there is a list of known bugs, and it's at the end of the html manual. Which shows, that people don't read manuals to the end - me included: I just yesterday discovered this bug list in section 5.1 ^_^
There also is another interesting document inside the src-directory of the PD distribution: notes.txt, which is an informal TODO-collection and, well, notes.

I didn't follow iCsound (or Csound) recently, but will this branch include a library interface like the one in, I think, MacCsound for Linux/W32? Because that would make a csound~ object for PD much more useful than the current fifo/pipe solution. And of course, freeing Csound in iCsound could fuel my interest in this old workhorse again.

Thanks to both of you.

Many of the design choices I made in iCsound aimed to expose the internal components (I mean, iCsound actually *has* components inside, unlike the original application). I would appreciate if you could check the current status and tell me it fits your needs in that field or what problems you find.
What do you mean with "freeing"? Are you talking about licensing?
If you have time/interest, you could join the iCsound development list or mail me privately. I basically suspended the iCsound development (apart bug fixes and supporting other people) and learning pure-data while a make a decision on how to continue to work on it. In the mean time I'm interested on reading other people's opinions.

Is it possible to avoid netsend putting semicolons at the end of messages when passed to ports? Looking at x_net.c, it seems like I should be able to (not that I -really- know which lines to change)...or is this a really bad idea.

Hi David,
just outcomment line 123 & 124 in x_net.c and the semi is gone. But then Pd will no longer be able to receive your messages correctly because the semi is used to detect the 'end of message'. If this a really bad idea depends on what you want to do. Maybe you could adjust the receiving code (I guess you're not using netreceive?!) to ignore the semi?
