hiya,
...I'm trying to recompile pd 0.37-test4 for mac against the newly compiled tcl/tk 8.4.3...the thing is, when I run ./configure, I get the following:
checking for X... libraries /usr/X11R6/lib, headers /usr/X11R6/include checking for XCreateWindow in -lX11... yes checking tcl.h usability... yes checking tcl.h presence... yes checking for tcl.h... yes checking for main in -ltcl8.7... no checking for main in -ltcl8.6... no checking for main in -ltcl8.5... no checking for main in -ltcl8.4... no checking for main in -ltcl8.3... yes checking for main in -ltk8.7... no checking for main in -ltk8.6... no checking for main in -ltk8.5... no checking for main in -ltk8.4... no checking for main in -ltk8.3... no checking for main in -ltk8.2... no checking for main in -ltk8.0... no
...this seems kinda weird, and then I notice that it was looking for X11 (I prefer to use tcl/tkAqua for native graphic support)...so, is the configure script looking at some other tcl/tk install (fink perhaps?) other than the one in my /Library/frameworks? If so, how can we fix this?

I believe Tcl/Tk have to be in /Library/Frameworks, but can't be in ~/Library/Frameworks (just in case that's where yours landed?)

...my frameworks are in /Library/Frameworks...but it seems to me that, if building an OS X aqua version of pd, we shouldn't be looking in X11's directories for libraries...and chris also has libtcl8.3 in /usr/local/lib, so we either installed awhile ago, or it is part of apple's X11 SDK, which we both have installed...
...btw, pd compiles just fine if I remove the "GLIB =" references to X11 and libtcl and the include paths for X11 stuff...
