is there a file '0.INTRO.txt' in your doc/5.refernce-folder. right-clicking on an empty space in a window and choosing 'help' shows this file. but even if you lack this file, there should pop up an empty window (at least in windows). i attached the file in case you don't have it.
roman
thank you, roman! actually, the file is there - though, strangely, nothing happens when I select "help" from that right-click context menu - interesting...
though, if I select "help" from the Windows toolbar, it opens up a browser window and takes me to the pd documentation folder - so this is where I find out all about the built-in objects, eh? :)
thanks again, everybody!!

Hm, maybe some strange bug. Anyway you can just read this file, it's static. It does not include externals you installed, though.

Not really, but reading the HTML documentation is a required task for learning Pd and using this list. ;)
