hello there, while compiling pd-0.38-0test4 i got this error :
_file.c: In function sys_getpreference': s_file.c:89: parse error before
char'
s_file.c:90: searchfor' undeclared (first use in this function) s_file.c:90: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once s_file.c:90: for each function it appears in.) s_file.c:91:
where' undeclared (first use in this function)
s_file.c:97: `whereend' undeclared (first use in this function)
make: *** [s_file.o] Error 1
is there something new against pd-0.37-1 ?

Well, that was interesting. The lines:
if (!sys_prefbuf)
return (0);
char searchfor[80], *where, *whereend;
should read:
char searchfor[80], *where, *whereend;
if (!sys_prefbuf)
return (0);
The wierd thing is, I thought my compiler would have flagged that mistake. I've changed my local environment to set "-pedantic" which seems to catch these (plus "//" comments and other stuff) and will use that to clean up the code a bit. In the meantime, just edit the change by hand or wait for test 6 (?) to come out, any day now...
