Hi all,
I'm looking for good sounding reverb patches. Hopefully some that are more complex and better sounding than the one distributed with PD. So are there anyone out there experimenting with reverb-algorithms in pd? And are you willing to share your patches?
Cheers! Thomas :)
partconv~ is a convolution reverb like Altiverb. Load any soundfile Impulses in .wav format and enjoy. It is a little CPU heavy but I did tweak it for G4 and G5 CPUs if you have one of those.

That sounds very interesting!
I'm on windows and the only version I can find is a version 0.1 which seems to be an uncompiled linux version or something. Is there a windows-version out there?
Cheers! Thomas :)

it's possible to compile on windows, attached is a dll made with mingw after fftw has been compiled and installed.
PDPATH = /home/pat/pd
clean: ; rm -f *.pd_* *.o *.dll
# ----------------------- MINGW-----------------------
pd_msys: partconv~.dll
.SUFFIXES: .dll
WININCLUDE = -I.. -I../include -I$(PDPATH)/src
WINCFLAGS = -Wall -W -Wshadow -Wstrict-prototypes -DPD -DNT -W3 -WX -Werror -Wno-unused -mms-bitfields -Wno-parentheses -Wno-switch -O6 -funroll-loops -fomit-frame-pointer
LDFLAGS = -shared
.c.dll: gcc -mms-bitfields $(WINCFLAGS) $(WININCLUDE) -o $*.o -c $*.c gcc $(LDFLAGS) -o $*.dll $*.o $(PDPATH)/bin/pd.dll -l fftw3f strip --strip-unneeded $*.dll rm -f $*.o

Yes several times, but it's difficult to figure out, and I've never succeded in making it work 100%, so after trying for hours, I gave up on it.

did you try freeverb~ ?
Hi Look into your spams, I've built the partconv~.dll, and sent you but it has been "banned" by your mail client
Hi,
have a look at Thomas Musil's excellent Room Reverberation Simulation too:
http://pure-data.cvs.sourceforge.net/pure-data/externals/iem/iem_roomsim/
Ah, i am not sure how to find binaries for windows though...
rgrds, PP
Thanks for the help - it is much appreciated!
Cheers! Thomas

Hey all, this is slightly OT but might be interesting for all on the list who are performing electronic music on stage.
I'm looking for a local (not PA) sound reinforcement that should be high-quality (flat frequency response) with enough bass, powerful enough to keep up with typical (non-distorting) bass or guitar amps and with rugged design. These excludes the typical compact near- to midfield studio monitors. Additionally it should be portable, hence the weight limit of about 20kg. Stereo amplification (or even better: modular loudspeaker cabinets) would be a plus, tone control is not necessary.
Right now i have found the following combos which look pretty ok:
http://www.acousticimg.com/products/prod_contra.html
http://www.schertler.com/prodotti_ing/loudspeakers/david.htm
There are a couple of decent loudspeaker cabinets, which are also an option, e.g.
but i'm still looking for a small and powerful amplifier (about 300W / 4Ohm per channel), preferably mono block or bridgeable stereo, with balanced in and neutrik out.
Any experiences, ideas?
greetings, Thomas

Hey Thomas. See also Andy's fibonacci reverb: http://www.obiwannabe.co.uk/html/toys/fiboverb/fiboverb.html
Thanks a lot Steffen (and Andy :) )!
It looks very interesting!
Cheers, Thomas
