Jeroen,
No problems - I'm more than happy to help. Just let me know if you run into any problems. Make sure you reply to the list as well as I am by no means the most knowledgable person on this subject!

Thanks Andrew,
I'll have a look at it as soon as I can. It seems like I should recompile pdp (0.13) without the pwc option, but I'm not very succesful at compiling it at the moment. Maybe your link'll help.
cheers, jeroen

Jeroen,
Are you sure that webcam doesn't use the pwc driver? Regardless, I also had problems with the pwc part of pdp. It is incompatible with the new reverse-engineered pwc drivers and should be removed from pdp. Once the pwc code from pdp was removed, pdp treated my pwc webcam like any thoer and it worked perfectly. See my previous post http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2005-07/029535.html for how to remove the pwc bit and hopefully solve your problem.
Hope this helps.
Andrew.

Is there any experience using the spca webcam driver with pdp_v4l? If I attach the webcam (creative notebook) it's seen by pd, initialized, and then pd gives a "detected pwc" ???!!!!
any help greatly appreciated, jeroen
