is there any way to trigger bonk~ manually? for instance, if the signal isn't quite right, but you still need bonk~ to send out data?
also, does anybody have a help patch for bonk~? there doesn't seem to be one in the pd distro.

No, but you can just bypass bonk~ and connect anything to everywhere, bonk~'s outlet goes. That's part of the fun in a modular synth ;)

There is a help-bonk~.pd in the extra-directory (at least in the source package) Copy it to doc/5.reference/help-bonk.pd and you're set.
