i think that depends somehow how the external-developers specify it in their sourcecode, but i am not very experienced. Glad this one worked for you :-)

salut i just want to clean up my pd installation a bit and want to take all externs into the extra folder ie "pd/extra" at the moment they are in "pd/extern" the main idea was to put every lib in a separate folder together with the help files without adding an enormous pAck of paths to the startup dialog so i get these folders c:/pd/extra/zexy c:/pd/extra/sigpack c:/pd/extra/cyclone the .bat file looks like "cd c:\pd\bin c:\pd\bin\pd.exe -asio -audiodev 4 -midiindev 11 -lib zexy -lib hammer -lib sickle -lib sigpack" this works for zexy and my own sIgpAck lib but not for hammer and sickle tried this with iemlib1 and iemlib2 and it doesnt work too i thought i read on the list that pd searches in the extra folder also subdirectories maybe im wrong anyone has an idea? happens on windows98se with pd-0.39-2 thanks gruss m.weiss
