Hi,
I'm using PD Vanilla 0.40.2 under WinXP, with a Motu Ultralite soundcard, of which I use 4 channels in and 2 channels out. I don't use ASIO, because I coundn't in any way get more than 2in/2out channels working with asio (with this card), and because with asio enabled I sometimes got some pd crashes. So I enabled an option in Motu's control panel that puts it in some sort of "legacy" mode which allowed PD to recognise all its channels in mmio mode.
Also, I send and receive MIDI events (mention it just in case it may be related)
Every once in a while, I get a "Resyncing audio" message. Forgive my ignorance, but what does it mean exactly? I heard about a "-noresync" command line option, but I can't see it listed when I type "pd -?", and also I don't know what side effects it could have?
I'm not sure about what triggers the "resyncing audio" messages. Every once in a while, in my patch it happens that I trigger too many events at the same time causing small audio dropouts (obviously I'm trying to fix this) but I'm not sure whether that's when I get "resyncing audio". Should I expect it to be so?
Thank you in advance m.
