hi
I'm testing latest pd with latest tcl /tk on osx and it seems to work
...
I wonder why it's not included in the relases, maybe the problem has
been fixed somehow
I enabled DEBUGCONNECT in t_tkcmd.c , but I can't see anything special
turning stderr back on
duped to stderr?
pdbuf is
/Users/gerard/Desktop/Pd-0.38-0test7.app/Contents/Resources/Scripts/../
bin/pd
port 5600
Waiting for connection request...
"/Users/gerard/Desktop/Pd-0.38-0test7.app/Contents/Resources/Scripts/
../bin/pd" -guiport 5600
... connected
. g
Damn, it didnt work for me at all, didn't even start up, unless I invoked Pd from the shell. Clicking on the "app" dies unless I revert to the old tcl/tk.

The tcl /tk version I used is called TclTkAquaStandalone-8.4.7.dmg
This one doesn't include any headers.
I compiled with the headers in the full 8.4.7 distribution.
But the configure script assumes they are in the bundled framework, so
I had to change the makefile manually
hope that helps
