Hey all,
I'm using the debian pd package (0.38-4) Using the oss drivers (seems to be the default)
I can get audio input if I set the audio input settings to two channel and more. I can get audio output (test tone) if I set at least two channels for the output. If I set 1 channel for either I get nothing (on either channel) If I set both at the same time (in/out) then I only get input and PD will not send any audio... Actually turing audio input on just kills PDs output audio.
Any ideas whats up with this? The soundcard is onboard this mainboard (p4g800 deluxe) apparently a RealTek ALC650 chip.
Also jack dies after 5seconds if I try and to use oss for both in and out at the same time.
any ideas?
I'm not doing anything complicated, just trying to monitor my tests with streaming vorbis/theora.
Thanks b.

Most likely a bad driver/soundchip which can't do full duplex.
