i had trouble counting myself... see http://lists.puredata.info/pipermail/pd-list/2006-11/044431.html for another one of fb's great tutorials. another thing that may help, afaik, is to specify which counter you're using: rather than [counter], create eg [markex/counter], [cyclone/counter]. cheers, robbert

Which [counter] are you using? There are many [counter] objects and they are incompatible, so many in fact, that I would advise against using any of these at all!
Better use [f ]x[+ 1] or [f ]x[+ 1]x[mod 16] if you know what I mean.
