CALL ::::: Pd Composer wanted
Dancer/choreographer Robert Wechsler is looking for someone to write an interactive patch to demonstrate his motion tracking system.
presentation: Friday, August 12, Weimar (at the conference)
This will be a short (5 min?) piece and designed to demonstrate a the efficacy of using the human body to control various DSP parameters (of your choosing) in live music performance. The collaboration can place over the phone and by exchanging files over the internet. His camera-based tracking system outputs OSC data according to defined human movement parameters (for example, the activity level of a certain body part might output floating point OSC values between 0 and 1, etc.).
His motion tracking project at Bauhaus University is described here.
This is a just-for-fun project (no one is paid), but future work together is always a possibility.
