hi list !
not spending time on bug-fixing Gem....
i proudly announce version 0.1 of MIDIvice, a library containing "device-drivers" for extern MIDI-devices. this is: a collection of objects that communicate with a device via a MIDI-connection.
currently supported: MotorMix (by cm-labs), a 8-channel motorfader-box (with lots of buttons)
to come (hopefully): FriendChip (digital patchbay) support ???

maybe a clarification is needed : MIDIvice does not pretend to supply device-drivers for PC-Hardware that can do MIDI. so there won't be external for USB2MIDI-things and the like. to get your PC work with MIDI, check out http://member.nifty.ne.jp/Breeze/softwares/unix/usbmidi-e.html or similar pages
MIDIvice aims to control hardware-devices via MIDI. pE: control a MIDI-controllable mixing-console from within pd (for automation...)
