Check out the makefilename object. It's probably perfect for what you want. An alternative to the makefilename object is strcat, which is part of the Gem package.

Well, I managed to make a filename but then what? I can't compose a message that would actually do something... I can only print the filename. :(

you can put the generated symbol into a message by creating a message e.g. "open $1" or for array "read16 $1 62 b"
