The Carbon framework has been marked deprecated for a *long* time, so it could go in any new version, really. I never said it would be gone in 10.13, just that it "looks like" it will, but that's been the case for many versions now. In any case, moving to non-Carbon TK 8.5 on Mac will be worth it in the long run anyway as it ensures newer builds of vanilla will not suddenly stop working when Carbon is finally removed.

Ok, so I checked around, seems like Carbon has been deprecated since 2008 with Mac OS Lion, it hasn't got any update since then, but it is still around... and it doesn't seem it'll be completely removed so soon, huh?
Just curious and wondering what are the risks Pd Extended will stop working anytime in the near future... so this is one, what are the others?
