Hi there:
Correction, just tried again loading just the Fluid~ object and switch dsp on and got Segmentation fault also.
Cheers

Hi there:
Is there a Fluid~ .rpm package for Fedora Core 2, or anything that works in FC2?
I just tried it with the .rpm for FC1 from CCRMA and as soon as i switch the dsp on in the fluid~'s help file, pd quits. It says:
Pd_gui: pd process exited Segmentation fault
Has this got anything to do with fluid~? Or is it just the help file. I mean I tried to create a fluid~ object in a plank patch and switch dsp on, and its fine.
Cheers

It might be that libfluidsynth was build with ladspa enableb. fluid~ used to trigger a bug in libfluidsynth that lead to the crash. Could you try to rebuild libfluidsynth and then fluid~ without ladspa? If the crash goes away then you could file a bug report against the libfluidsynth maintainer for Fedora (or CCRMA, Fernando???) to not include ladspa in fluidsynth.
