Hi list,
I installed pd-0.37-1test on Suse 8.0. I am using a Hammerfall Soundcard.
But if i start pd's test tone i only get some murmur as ouput. :-( There is no error message.
What can i do now ?
Thanx

Hi Thomas,
You can send more information:
linux distributions differ. Did you use any special options to configure? (--enable-jack --enable-alsa etc)

Hi Thomas,
Hi Guenter,
You can send more information:
- Which sounddriver are you using.
sounddriver witch is coming with the kernel. rme96xx. Therefore i have sound but only a very low brumm and a high whisteling.
- Did you try to change the audio devices in the media menu ?
yes i did. Nothing changed.
- You compiled pd by yourself. This is not a trivial task, because
linux distributions differ. Did you use any special options to configure? (--enable-jack --enable-alsa etc)
i installed pd-0.36 with the gcc2.95.3 and everything was fine. now i installed with gcc 3.3.2 and didn't use any special options. In extra/expr~/makefile i had to take away the -Wshadow to compile.
I don't use jack nor alsa sound system. should i enable something.
