Hello,

Cubase can receive midi data from the vst plugin, for instance reaktor. If you set a knob to send and receive midi controller data, you can record knob changes with cubase, which is a nice feature.
regards,
erik
Hi Thomas,
My purpose in asking was to get MIDI into Pd through something like thalamus (http://jaltoh.6x.to/). Until PdVST supports midi in, this was the easiest way I could think of to create a Pd instrument I could externally sequence.
I've seen a few other plugins that support MIDI out (http://www.smartelectronix.com/~dunk/)
In the process of writing this, I just remembered pdauto.. maybe that can address my problem.

Hi Eric, since the MIDI out feature seems to be supported by other hosts i'll sure find a way for vst~ to support it too. I'd also like to build for OSX... let's see... I can't really recommend resurrecting pdauto... the timing has proved to be very loose and i haven't had a look at it for years.
best greetings, Thomas
