is there anyway to translate in the negative direction? i really don't know what i'm doing cause me = no openGL experience. the horizontal slider i'm using will only go from .01 or some small number like that to whatever in the positive direction, but i can't make it start from zero because it defaults to a fraction of the larger of the ranges, and it won't go negative. anyway if it sounds like i'm on crack it's just cause GEM and i are new friends.

Hey Scott,
just make your slider go from -4 to 4 and that should do the trick, 0 will be in the middle and the slider left should move the object left and slider right should make the object to right.
you can always just use a number box and roll over 0 into the negatives.
good luck!

hello,
also make sure that you have the lin/log toggle box under the vslider-properties is set to lin and not log, otherwise you can't get the negative numbers... but then you should be able to do as ben has said and set the slider to go from - to +. peace bradon~
