I upgraded to 0.42.5 and when i doubleclick the C:\Program Files\pd\pd-settings.reg I get a message that reads "registry editing has been disabled by your administrator". What should I do?
The Pd-extended installer will install that file for you. So unless
you want to reset settings that you have edited yourself, or there was
some error in the install, I think it should work fine without running
the .reg file.

That's what I thought, but since it says "to make sure...", I gave it a try. Everything seems fine so far. Why doesn't this release include the 0.92.3 GEM? I already installed it separately, so it's just out of curiosity.

Doh, I just realized I forgot to update the version of Gem included in
the Windows installer. Its still 0.91. I updated it to 0.92.3 and
will post an updated release.
As for your issue, Gem is included, its just an old version. It
should load, it sounds like the machine your are on does not let you
save your preferences. The libraries to load at pd start time are
saved in the registry, so if you can write to the registry, none of
the libraries will be loaded automatically. You can still load them
using [import] in your patch, like [import Gem].
