Hi, Im using qlist and gem to do some visual typographic stuff.
Encountering problems with textfiles containing [,]commas, [;]
semicolon, []backslash. Whats the best way of overcoming this problem?

the fastest way is to use moocow's "string"s. these strings are lists of ascii-values prepended with a selector "string" and they work with current versions of Gem's text-objects.
example: [string 104 101 121 44 32 104 111( will produce "hey, ho"

another not so beautiful but working method (on XP):
define an environment variable in your startup script. just type a line like this:
set BSL=\
you can now call this environment variable by typing %BSL% in any pd-message, where internally it will be replaced by good old .
