hi Joseph ,
just installed the compiled dll from the windows distribution . it seems to work fine on laptop running win2k , however , on my desktop running winxp it reboots the system . sometimes on startup of pd and other times on the shutdown of pd . there doesnt seem to be a consistency to when pd reboots/crashes my computer .
any reason can you think of as to why it would work on win2k and not winxp ?
joge .
Hi all,
There were some issues patching pd-0.35-0 with the old patches so I fixed them. I also fixed the issue where changing from edit mode while patch cord was highlighted, left it highlighted. Windows pd-0.35-1 binary also included.

That's strange, especially since it was compiled on a WinXP system (using VC++ 6.0 btw). I've personally tested it on Win 98SE, Win 2000 Server, and Win XP Pro; all seem to work OK. I can't think of anything that would cause this, the code changes are pretty minor, but maybe someone out there with more Windows binary compatibility knowledge can help. All I can say is make sure you are using the latest pd-0.35-1 msw distribution, and if you have means to recompile, try that.

i just compiled the dll on my own system and it still does the same thing , except it seems to know be more consistent and reboot my system only on pd exiting. anyhow ,.. i am not sure what could possibly be wrong with my system :[ has anyone else tried this dll on a winxp machine ?

ok .. so after some hunting down in the system event log i tracked down my problem to my Kx project drivers for my SB Live! [original] . i was running version 5.10.0.3523 and it seemed to be freeing up a memory pool which was already freed .
sorry to doubt your dll Joe , but i only notice the problem after trying to run pd with your dll. i figure it wasnt your dll after i tried running pd with the original dll .
thanks for the mod to pd !! i will be using it much !
