I have been searching for a serial object in pd for linux and have not been able to find one.
Is there something I can use to talk to a serial device in pd that goes under a different name than serial? or maybe the need for serial comms is not there... that would be too bad.
any help... pointers... etc. would be most appreciated!

it's called comport. i use it all the time to poll ultrasound sensors on my serial ports. quite stable. quite friendly.
