Hi,
enclosed is the "0.INTRO.txt" file from the 5.reference directory converted into a pd patch.
I prefer this way of looking at the reference to the text form as it can be used as a content browser for pd's help files in that directory by right clicking on the object boxes.
Another advantage is that it becomes obvious, which objects are missing in the running version. In my version (pd-0.39-2), these objects can't get initialized:
rmstopow~ powtorms~ scalar scope~
Miller, are there any objections to add this file to the reference?

Wonderful, thank you thank you! Great idea. Cool. I mean it.

I enjoy this addition as well, but with a caveat: The default length of the window is waay too huge for anyone with a smaller monitor to deal with. Please make the length shorter (< 600 pixels) before integrating the patch into the cvs!
Good work!

Nice! Is that going to be integrated into vanilla Pd any time soon?

No. you could try harassing the vanilla guy about it, but chances are that you'd get in prison before you get that feature.
Now I just have to finish cooking 0.39.A with Chun Lee, which should take a few weeks, and then you can try it. You can also download an incredibly buggy preview through cvs.sf.net when it's not down, which means, not now.

Not sure if Kyle's in prison yet, but I've added his patch (edited to reduce the initial screen size) into my 'doc' offering... The thing that might take time is for the rest of the world to see it as it's now extremely awkward for me to upload to CVS (my code's broken in 10 places)...
cheers Miller

If you submit a patch for a class browser, I woiuld definitely try it out in the Pd-extended test releases. And if it works well, then I think Miller would accept the patch.
