I did put it in the external CVS. And it should be build there if you check out the externals. But if you don't know CVS this may be a bit intimidating. The makefile included only builds the linux external. (beatpipe.pd_linux) I will have a look at the build system and see if I can change the makefile so that it can build an osX external as well. Should be easy, but I won't have time untill after the weekend.

This external looks great.. I tried compiling on OS X, but it doesn't seem to to work. Is there an OS X version?

You will need to add a small number as a time stamp in front of the bang to make a list, and the external will quantify it according to a BPM and a ticks per beat number you can change dynamically.
The source should compile on any platform. It is also in the pure-date CVS at http://pure-data.sourceforge.net

don't worry i worked it out, but sugestions might be useful ----- Original Message ----- From: tdunstan@ihug.com.au To: pd-list@iem.at Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2003 1:45 PM Subject: [PD] Quantization
has anyone got any clever ideas to quantize incoming beats/bangs to a
metro.

if you linked it into build/src then it should be part of the OSX external package too ..
