Hi,
i have a patch that uses a gripd file as graphical interface. I made a .bat file so that i can open the patch easily with a double click, but i don't want to see the PD patch, only the gripd graphical interface.
So i introduced the -nogui flag in the .bat file : it does what i want, but everything slows down terribly, does anybody know why and what to do about it?
Also: once i have opened the patch without gui, how do i close it?
Thanks for your help, sandra

When using -nogui on a Windows machine, you need to put a netreceive object in your patch somehwere (you don't have to connect it or use it, just have it there) or Pd will run extremely slowly.

The gripd Pd object has two outlets. One sends a 0 or 1 reporting connection status, the other sends a 0 or 1 reporting if the gripd gui window is visible (but only if the gui window is running on the same machine as Pd). So you can connect these outlets to a ";pd quit" message so that when the window is closed or the connection is lost Pd quits.
