Hello PD-communitty, I am trying to migrate to a linux OS. I have installed Redhat on my computer and downloaded pd-0.37-0.i386.rpm, everytime that I try to install the rpm an error message saying that i am missing libtcl.so.0 and libtk.so.0 how do I get these libraries so that I can install pd?

If you're running redhat, why not just use the planet ccrma packages? look at ccrma.stanford.edu for more info.

Quick fix would be to install the TCL/TK from the kernel development packages on your RedHat installation CDs.
But I would recommend getting into Planet CCRMA in the long run. The audio packages are pretty well maintained... although I've been waiting *forever* to see PDP/PiDiP show up on their list.
hint hint hint to Fernando!

The best thing to do would be to get the PlanetCCRMA build system into
the CVS, then anyone would be able to add to it, and it would just be a
matter of recompiling the .rpms to keep them up-to-date.
It should go in CVSROOT/packages/planetccrma_rpm, just like win32_inno,
darwin_pkg, darwin_app, etc.
