I could not find a search page, should I just use google or what? A search form with some filters for thread, subject, author, age (of post), etc would be quite useful. Is there a way to do this?
http://www.google.com/search?num=50&q=site%3Aiem.kug.ac.at+marc+boon I agree that the site (*.org) should include this in a preset search form.
(Historically, there was an on-server search tool with the features you suggest, but it was horribly slow and was thankfully removed.)
is directly searchable in your mbox-compatible mail client (most except MS products).

For frustrated Pd list archive searchers: http://google.com/search?num=50&q=++site%3Aiem.kug.ac.at+iem+pd++ Make this a bookmark or linkbar link or whatever your browser uses.
Notes: "+iem" term stops ads in search results. "+pd" term selects only Pd lists at iem. "++" puts spaces in the search form. Saves typing.
Suggestions for other, better search tools are invited. On Wed, 08 Dec 2004 12:16:22 +0100, "Marc Boon" marcboon@dds.nl said:

now that the archive-search is super fast, i do not understand the workaround with google anymore (i admit, that the old pd-search was a bit slow...)
oops, a quick check to prove how super it was, proved that my mailman-upgrade broke several things, i'll go and fix them; afterwards the search enginge provided at the normal archive-site should again be way faster than google.

Which site has the super fast archive search? http://iem.at/mailinglists/pd-list/ shows no search form.
