Accidentally noticed that destroying GEM window when processing messages from gemkeyboard will crash PD (same thing happens with gemmouse).
This patch illustrates the bug and the workaround: pressing ESC in GEM window will close it, crashing PD if you check the "crash on escape" toggle.

yes, this is a known issue (at least on linux), that's why in all the help-patches (if there are any), the gemmouse that triggers the destruction of the gemwindow is delayed with [del 0].
i only know of this behaviour on linux. it would be very nice if you could give your operating system.

I'm observing it on Mac OS X (10.4.5) with PD-0.38.4-extended-RC7.
My fist guess is that this happens because the GEM window is already destroyed when gemkeyboard processing proceeds after sending out the message, so probably should be OS-independent :) I haven't seen the source though.

As long as the operating system is open-source, you can give it to anybody ;-)
