dear list,
after 0.32-?, patches open with objects placed incorrectly on the canvas, usually too left or up. fortunately clicking the canvas corrects the situation, but i hope this will be addressed eventually.
happens under windows.
bye, juha
perhaps you are experienceing the bug where the patch opens showing the top left corner as it was when you first clicked "new". but if while creating the patch, you had placed an object above or to the left of the top left corner, it will not be visible when the patch reopens, until you click the patch and it works out what the real boundaries of the patch are.
similarly, if you place objects outside of the viewable window to the bottom or the right, the scrollbars don't appear until after you have clicked on the patch once. anoying...
automatically adjusting the view on opening a patch to the top-left-most corner of the used area is kind of arbitary, but probably what most people would expect.

Hi, yes, this is a problem
When you save a patch the scrollbar positions should also be saved but they aren't. (I don't know how to get the vaules out of TK). Also I've never figures out in TK how to get the scrollbars to update themselves for the first time correctly (hence the wierd behavior where they spring to life the first time you click in the window.) I tried to figure this out for a while a few months ago but gave up; I'll try again someday.
There are even worse problems in "data" windows with scrolling vertically, which I can't figure out either, but will try again someday...
cheers Miller
