Hallo,
attached is a general list-apply object (formerly known as list-op to readers of pd-dev). It will become part of [list]-abs as soon as Sourceforge lets me in again. Internally the [list-drip] abstraction is used instead of a subpatch to serialize the list. (Once any only once, you know.)
Attached is the version to go into CVS. The help file now has many more interesting examples.

Sourceforge is the official site, however <rant mode on> the CVS is completely unreachable for me as a developer currently. I don't know why, I heard some harddisk crashed at Sourceforge? Anyways, I'm all for moving away from SF to somewhere else, where service is more important than ads. <rant mode off>

...yeh this is very frustrating, especially since there's no end in
sight...I'm sure other projects are also re-evaluating...what are
some other options, beyond savannah.gnu.org? Is there anyone that
has a better back up strategy?

By the way, it would may be opportune to get a svn (subversion) service (afaik it is better than cvs especially for its recursive good behaviour). I know at least one, tuxfamily.org does offer a free service of this kind and only "promotes" open-source software but i don't know what are the limitations of their services bandwidth and storage wise. Can someone provide with an evaluation of the storage capacity and bandwidth which would be comfortable?

it is pretty amazing. i guess all the people who know how to architect webservices are already employed by AMZN/GOOG/YHOO and sourceforge was left to rot..

berlios, savannah, launchpad, something @ iem or artengine, darcs, etc...
Hardware failures can happen to anyone, especially services like
berlios, savannah, etc. None of them are bigger than SourceForge so
none are likely to have total hardware redundancy.
Same goes with if we host it at IEM, artengine, etc. SourceForge has
24-hour support, IEM and artengine probably don't want to get into
that business.

Almost: It's in http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/pure-data/abstractions/footils/list-ab...
I now added that link to my footils.org page as well.
If you add the list-apply.pd from my mail you have the most recent version I (intended to) published so far.
