Hello,
On old patch, I used pix_film to load images. I can't make it work anymore on a new computer. Images can be loaded with pix_image, but sometime it's simpler to be able to load image or movie with the same object.
./configure gives :
film-support use AVFoundation : no use AVI : no use aviplay : yes use DirectShow : no use FFMPEG : yes use gmerlin : yes use mpeg : no use mpeg-3 : yes use QuickTime : yes
In pd log i've got : GEM: film loading plugins: MPEG3 aviplay ffmpeg gmerlin quicktime4linux
but surprisingly, pix_film backend list is :
[pix_film]: loader[0] gmerlin [pix_film]: loader[1] quicktime4linux [pix_film]: loader[2] MPEG3 [pix_film]: loader[3] aviplay [pix_film]: loader[4] ffmpeg [pix_film]: loader[5] image
Loading the image fail, even if I try to send "backend image"
loading the image with pix_image is working.
I'm using Gem current Git, on ubuntu mate.
So, what should be made in order to have this image loading in pix_film back?
cheers
Cyrille

it's supposed to work, but maybe some recent changes broke something...
please (also) report this in the bug tracker.
