Dear List Members,
I am trying to compile the pdogg externals on OSX 10.2, taking the sources from cvs. I don't know if someone was doing this before. I got that far:
modified the makefile to point to the ogg/vorbis libs installed via fink (an apt-get variant on OSX), they are in: /sw/include. And they get found.
Then, at "make pd_darwin" i get: oggamp~/oggamp~.c:56: header file 'winsock.h' not found oggamp~/oggamp~.c:57: header file 'winbase.h' not found
and i don't know to which libs they belong.
If anyone knows a hint, i'd be glad to know!
Thanks, Happy June! Peter~

These headers belong to the windows version and as long as the CVS sources are not broken I guess there is a -DMACOSX and/or -DUNIX missing in the makefile to tell the compiler that you're going to use the OS X specific part of the code instead of the Windows part....

Thanks, Olaf for the suggestion! But the makefile is correct...:
# ----------------------- Mac OS X -----------------------
pd_darwin: $(NAME).pd_darwin
.SUFFIXES: .pd_darwin
DARWINCFLAGS = -DPD -DUNIX -DMACOSX -O3
-Wall -W -Wshadow -Wstrict-prototypes
-Wno-unused -Wno-parentheses -Wno-switch
................
What also sounds strange to me is that i had to include /usr/include/architecture/i386/ to let the compiler find io.h, but that might be ok, i guess.
Well, i'll try on...
Cheers, Peter~
