On a related note, I've noticed that all of the help patches appear to have been created with a 10-point font, but they come up 12-point.. I always have to change the font size from 12 to 10 to get them to look right.

hi there is a difference in the fontsize between linux and windows. the same fontsize (10) appears rather small, but ok under windows, and normal (which is bigger) under linux. if i have a patch under windows and want to open under linux, i cannot use it... the box-sizes of the objects seem to stay the same, hmm... no, they get wider. this is compared to canvases of the former iemgui. is this a problem of the fonttype? or just the size? or is it the tcl/tk version, that makes the difference? has someone an idea how to solve? what happend to the "pd-font"??? marius.
