I'm currently giving a class using the pduino. One of the students has a Powerpc with OSX 10.04. As soon as he sends a message to the arduino/comport the patch freezes and pd has to be killed. The installed ftdi driver is the current one coming with arduino-022. Anyone experinced similar issues or has an idea how to solve this?
thanks & salutis ø
You might want to confirm that its not an electrical problem. Try another Arduino on that computer. If the Arduino shortcircuits, that shuts down the USB connection, which makes Pd crash.

Ej Hans Thanks for your reply. It works now - guess the computer & arduino just needed some rest... best ø

Phew. Sounds like it was a short circuit on the arduino board setup.

Looking at things from a more basic level, you can come up with a more direct solution... It may sound small in theory, but it in practice, it can change entire economies. - Amy Smith
