Thanks Ben, [shell] is actualy what i need, you can send messages to your shell, execute commands, scripts ... nice ! it has some scruple's thought, i am looking for the other way around : to send messages from shell to Pd . Or from web interface without using text file in between. cheers Ales Zemene +436769573397 http://ales.mur.at

Hello Ales,
The output of the shell commands is captured by shell and sent to its outlet, one message per line, this way you can communicate from shell to pd. .e.g, if you do a "ls" you get the contents of the current directory.

Try the pdsend command line utility with netreceive in PD.

well, you have no problem, you are only using 8bit as colour-depth. gem only supports 24bit and 8bit rendering, so you have to set the default colour-depth of your Xserver to 24bit to get cool colours.
