Hello folks, I'm Fabio Buda and I recently started to work with hosting; I support OpenSource and FreeSoftware and I'm offering free hosting+DB services to opensource projects or communities, are puredata community interested in it?

dumb question, but how would your service differ from what we already have, e.g. on sourceforge? this is not to say, that i don't appreciate your effort in supporting FLOSS development - i was just wondering whether you had any special services in mind. e.g. what exactly do you mean by "hosting" (which infrastructure; what ressources?)

Hello Fabio,
it could be fabulous to get have a stand-alone host for pd community could be great! then we could have it as central SVN (or may be even bazar?) independent from sf.net ;) and some pretty web interface with some documentation and comments on how the abstractions and externals are actually working @:)
basically SVN web-vier with discussion etc .. ;)
also various projects could make their oun page too ;}~

cool.
but why?

you mean http://puredata.info/community/projects/software?
anyhow: the more the merrier. if one service dies, other services will still be available. right now, if sourceforge gets eaten by godzilla and the iem vanishes in outer space, a lot of central services for the pd-community will be evaporated.
