The pic itx I have uses a 1 Ghz via. Check out mini-itx.com. You can get a dual core atom min-itx, although it will be at least twice as large. Why dual core? I run pd in realtime on Linux without the X gui on a small computer (500Mhz) and it runs without drop outs using a usb soundcard. On Oct 23, 2009, at 8:34 PM, Jaime Oliver wrote:

I have an Artigo kit. Pico-itx running Ubuntu. Pd runs great. The Artigo
fan is a bit loud though. The power supply is 12 v I believe and you can
buy a DC auto converter for it.
A pic is attached.

Subject: Re: [PD] very small form-factor PC for running PD

For a project I'm working on, I need a very small computer capable or
running PD in an enclosure ideally smaller than 20cmx15cm.
It doesn't need to have a screen, but it needs to have at least two
USB ports and be able to be run on 12v DC or lower.
Has anyone come across anything like this?
nano-itx form factor is 12 × 12 cm
pico-itx is 10 x 7.2 cm
Most of them can run MSW or linux.
Power supplies with 12V input are very small.
This one looks interesting:
