is anybody out there who is able to port the Essll composing library from max to pd?

Hallo!

I think it wouldn't be a problem, but a lot of work... We've just started to make a similar library, but its more focused on manipulating real time midi data.

For the non maxers (like myself) What is this library? What kind of license is it released under? (can I get the source code?)

it's open source (look at http://www.essl.at/works/rtc.html )! But these objects are max-patches (so there is no C or C++ source code) to generate musical structures!

Hi all, the point is that the RTC consists of many patches that use three or more large external collections. None of these has been ported to PD yet. This would be a lot of work (besides the porting of the patches themselves...)
best greetings, Thomas

I looked at the site, and IMHO the most interesting thing is the the list manipulation externals bs the random abstractions. There is no mention of licence on the site BTW.
But you can build all of it in pd, and a few of the abstractions are not necessary. It is a bit of work, but why not start the project yourself. I think people are looking for abstraction collections for pure-data.sourceforge.net
