Hi there,
I'm developing a system (hardware+software pd-based) called Xth Sense. With this one can control a Pd patch and produce sound material with muscle contractions. I don't use electrical signals, but mechanical ones. You can take a look at this: http://marcodonnarumma.com/works/music-for-flesh-ii/
Xth Sense has not been released yet for diverse reasons, but it will at some point soon. I can give you some suggestions if you wish, there's also a paper of mine published in the Proceedings of the Linux Audio Conference 2011 at: http://lac.linuxaudio.org/2011/?page=program&mode=list
cheers, M
Hello, is there any specific sensor that can let me get the electrical signals from muscle contraction? I need to control a pd patch with my muscle contractions, Do anybody have tried something like this?
thanks
R.
I saw Daito Manabe use this a few years ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhRJqZ33_3I, And he also got into muscle stimulus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLAma-lrJRM

i just stumbled upon this: http://www.technovelgy.com/ct/Science-Fiction-News.asp?NewsNum=3334

Yep, nice works, Daito keeps elaborating electrical myography usability. @PossessedHands: It's interesting how similar technologies can be used for antithetic goals.
(but I still want to be free to learn playing a guitar by myself!!)
see you at pdcon,
M
