GridFlow modifies the Pd internals at runtime in order to allow comments to be attached to the headings they go with ([doc_m] objects). This is used several (or many) times in almost every of the 242 help files of GridFlow and has been quite crucial in the auto-positioning system.

Matju,
We need to talk about this. Auto-positioning system? I'm interested. My notation system is nearing completion and uses barely anything other than GEM, PD and a bit of Zexy. But...if you are working on a system of dynamic object creation within Gridflow I'd like to know how it works. The object index causes me sleepless nights, and I've been doing this every day for the past 3 months.

Well, first try to edit some help files of GridFlow : it will save us some talk, and will bring more specific questions from you.
Note that you have to Ctrl+click to activate those bang buttons that are only visible when in editmode.

Programs should be written for people to read, and only incidentally
for machines to execute.
