Thanks for the suggestion... I had downloaded that very file before trying to compile, but I think it's using Python 2.5 because in Pd it gives an error:
libpython2.5.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Are you sure is this the file you downloaded? It was upgraded some months ago and I tested just now and it works with python 2.6 (py.pd_linux revision 265: 79063, apr 16 2010) I use it in all my project and I'm also using a lucid machine..... husk
