Please help, I can not figure this out:
How can I sort a multidimensional list by it's first element? I know of a way using [coll] (cyclone) but from my experience, [coll] is unstable.
Example : how do I sort the following list [[2,3],[7,4],[5,3],[6,7]] ? The result would be : [[2,3],[5,3],[6,7],[7,4]]

pyext would do a lovely job ... t
Tried it but it does not seem to work. py/pyext loads but when I open an example patch, the interface freezes and I do not get any error messages.
pd-0.38.2 python 2.3.5

I'd suggest the Georg Holzmann's wonderful PDContainer externals for this, they are in CVS and provide various very useful data types. In your case, you can directly use "h_list" like in attached patch.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I can not compile on my computer right now, so I made a little abstraction : BIGGEST. Its a multidimensional sort thingy. Requires ZEXY.

'sort' is broken, indeed, sorry. I have an obvious fix, but need to check for compatibility first.
Apart from the sort bug, are there any other coll troubles? Please, please: just do report such things!
