here's a frequency shifter that slur posted on the pd forum a little while ago: http://puredata.hurleur.com/viewtopic.php?pid=16842#p16842
Cool, but where is it? What do you use Jaime?
Freq Shifting + Pitch Shifting sounds like a cool idea! But later on I was hoping to actually have arbitrary power over all the spectrum. I guess the only way is to feed a huge bank of, like 1024 oscilators, is that feasible?
cheers

I use the H09.ssb.modulation.pd as a frequency shifter and the
I07.phase.vocoder.pd as a pitch shifter. you can find other pitch shifters if you need to do it live.

I don't get it, you want to impose a power profile? why not something like I03.resynthesis.pd, also in the help files...

I tried once rewriting a magnitude/phase table and shiffting it a bit, somewhat like that example, it turned out to sound a bit messy, so I was wondering if someone out there had already done a better job :)
I was just thinking that maybe a bank oscilator phase vocoder could be better... and I wanted to do something like Sethares does, play around with the spectrum to match some scales.
thanks alex

By the way, while toying around with ssb modulation and Amplitude Modulation, it occured to me that if you feed both modulation a positive amount, the fundamental keeps the same, and you have a distorted spectrum :)
& that's cheap and easy!!!

Well,I've made I07.phase.vocoder to work live, that example actually lets you record sound... so the phase vocoder I sent the other day is based on it... and I decided to include ssb in it as well, I got it from H09 too and is working fine (dont know if the other shifter mentioned here could be better, dont think so), maybe RM in sync with PVoc would be nice too.
Thanks
