hey there list...
I am getting started in programming in pd, and while I can understand most of the basic principals I am having some difficulty with making interesting patches with GEM. The largest problem that I am having right now is how to create motion blur.
if anyone could point me in the direction of a patch that does motion blurs, or just a tutorial of basic effects that gem is capable of, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
which version of GEM and which OS are you using?
the CVS version of GEM has an object called pix_blur that does fairly simple and fast motion blur + feedback effects. there are other lower level objects that can be used for similar visual effects.
there's not a tutorial at the moment, sorry to say, but it's high on the TODO list.
what sort of visual effects are you interested in specifically? the developers are fairly receptive to requests. ;)
