Then we can have automatic nightly builds of whatever for RPi.

Can't it be done by cross-compiling on a regular (faster) PC ? Maybe it's too much work ?
That said I have an unused pi, so I'm willing to help. I have a good/long experience of system and network administration.

I haven't found an easy way to cross-compile a full Debian package for Raspbian, but maybe that's possible. The nice thing about a build server is that it runs automatically, so that when someone is checking in commits, they receive notifications of problems within a day.
