There is a drum machine called "rhythmcomposer" that I made for PD available at http://www.pure-data.org/community/patches
It will play up to 8 layers of any patterns of any length in any subdivision of the beat with any sound, calculate the loop point of the various patterns, display the patterns and count out the beat cycle. I use a CD of professional drum samples to go with it, which for obvious copyright reasons can't be included with the patch, but can be purchased at any music store.

this will not work without the monorhythm extern, and I did not find a way to get it. any help ?
(I'm on windows XP so I would need a dll)
thanks,
Stef

Hi,
Is there a list somewhere of the commands that a canvas will respond to?
I've got an abstraction (blob.pd) that at patch startup I want to:
set its canvas size open it as a window set it to edit mode.
I can do the latter sending the message 'pd-blob.pd editmode 1' but don't know about the others: anyone?
Thanks,
nick
Also, I have two instances of the 'blob' abstraction: blob 0 and blob 1.
Can I address them independently through message passing using the '; pd-blob.pd ...' format?
No doubt covered elsewhere...
Nick
Its in mjLib:
you can still get it from the pd page on my website
(I'm having a bit of a redesign so no link on the front page at the moment)
or it comes installed with the most excellent windows beta installer which is available from http://www.pure-data.org.
The installer is pretty damm brilliant IMO
cheers
mark
